PORTO SANTO STEFANO
BEACHES:
Giannella and Feniglia are not part of the Monte Argentario itself but they are the two tombolos that unite it to the mainland.
• LA GIANNELLA: The Giannella’s tombolo is located between the sea and the Ponente lagoon. It is ideal for families with small children and those who do not know how to swim. Fine sand, shallow water and clear. The beach is 8km long where we find both bathing establishments and free beach.
• THE BATHS OF DOMITIAN: It is the first beach that you will meet leaving the Giannella. So called for the proximity of Villa Domizia, ancient villa from the Roman era of which the ruins are visible just behind the tip on the left. Although it is not visible from the road, it is easily accessible by walking along a short path. Small free sandy beach and shallow water. The only sore point is the parking lot, very small on the road. It’s a beach from “early morning”.
• THE BLONDE: Pretty beach of pebbles and sand. The reef makes sure that here the sea is always calm. It is accessed exclusively on foot from Porto Santo Stefano or from the Pozzarello.
• THE CORNER BOX: Sand and small pebbles. There is a rental of sunbeds and umbrellas. It is easily accessible on foot from Porto Santo Stefano and therefore very popular.
• IL MOLETTO: It is located at the end of the street of the Pier of Porto Santo Stefano. The beach is very small and half occupied by a bathing establishment. Sand, rocks and for the sportsmen a water polo “field”.
• LA CALETTA: Like “Il Moletto” he has access from the village. Here you will find a bathing establishment, the restaurant with terrace on the sea and a diving center with guides for seahorses observation.
